Dress A Girl Southwest Missouri

Dresses, Skirts & Shorts

Learn about the garments we make, our guidelines, and the patterns we use to bring smiles to girls around the world.

Dress Guidelines

All garments follow the official Dress A Girl Around the World guidelines to ensure quality and consistency.

Key Requirements

  • Use quilting-quality 100% cotton fabric
  • Bright, cheerful colors and prints are preferred
  • No camouflage, military, or dark/dreary patterns
  • All seams must be finished (serged or French seams)
  • Each dress includes a matching pair of shorts or panties
  • Sizes range from 2T to size 12

What We Make

We primarily make pillowcase-style dresses — a simple, beautiful design that uses a pillowcase-style construction with bias tape straps and elastic casing. We also make A-line skirts and matching shorts.

Patterns & Styles

👗

Pillowcase Dresses

The classic Dress A Girl design. Simple to make, beautiful to wear. Uses a pillowcase-style construction with bias tape straps and elastic casing.

🩳

Matching Shorts

Every dress is accompanied by a matching pair of shorts for modesty and comfort. Simple elastic-waist design in coordinating fabric.

👘

A-Line Skirts

For older girls, we also create simple A-line skirts with elastic waistbands. These are paired with a coordinating top or blouse when available.
